Please can I just quote the words I actually used.

So many dancers credit IDSF with giving them their competitions.  This is simply not true. 

Is there only ONE competition in  the Netherlands?  The IDSF proudly proclaim it is the only IDSF licenced competition.  What about all the other events in which Netherland couples compete?

I agree that Holland Masters was in 2007 the ONLY IDSF licenced event.in Netherlands. and this was what prompted my remark "What about all the other events in which Netherlands couples compete..

From this I assume that when you wrote . "why is it they feel only the IDSF events are different ( better )" you were not refering to the Netherlands.

I know that many Netherlands dancers are quite angry at some of the "panels" they are presented with when dancing in other countries.  From my conversations with them they far prefer the WDC Adjudicators.  

I can absolutely understand the presentation of the Holland Masters in the format you noted.

It was presented by David Simon and Cor van de Stroet.

 Both gentleman also work with Mr. Bijster organiser of the "Dutch Open".

Both gentleman organise other (non IDSF) events in the Netherlands and receive good support. 

Both Mr. Simon and Mr.  van der Stroet are registered WDC adjudicators.

Mr. van der Stroet is President and Mr. Bijster Secretary of the Professional organisation which is the WDC member for Netherlands.

The  3 gentlemen do care about dance in the Netherlands and work very hard to ensure there are good relationships between Professional and Amateur.

I do hope you are not expecting Think of Me to give you answers.  On past form whener that member  cannot reply then they either disappear for a few weeks or start making quack medical disgnosis  

Sadly though we are again drifting away from the main topic  -  The CDF public Announcement.

If you think members want to read personal attacks without connection to the topic (actually you may be one who has tried this before) then go ahead.  It certainly tells me a great deal.

I guess it is difficult for people like you who do not understand the facts behind this. and  from your reply indicate you do not understand decent stanfdarrds of behaviour.

FACTS first.  This letter was brought to this forum by another member and not me. It was offered as evidence with regard to a situation between CDF and CDDSC, and we were all supposed to be very unhappy at the "proof",

Well I visited the web site of the author.  I wrote to both the "andy" address and the "info" address.

If the website information and specially contact addresses are not kept up to date and relevant to December 2007   that is not my problem.  Hwever I would point out that neither mail has been returned as non-deliverable.

Whether a letter is 1, 3 or 5 years old is irrelevant.  Fact remains you wrote it.  Either stand by the words or admit you were wrong and have changed your position.

I do not need a personal reply. Answers to the many questions here would have been great.

I only wanted to notify the writer that their communication was being discusses on the forum.  I wanted them to be aware that I was intending to make comment. They could either reply or ignore as they chose.  However no other member could then make an accusation against me that I was making comment when the person concerned was unaware and I was annonymous.  The writer of the discussed letter certainly has my name.  . 

Does the writer of the letter care what I think?  Probably not and that upsets me not the least.  Having placed the letter in the public domain people  are entitled to state their position  - thats what free speech means.  We have equal rights.  I simply was courteously notifying the letter writer and giving the might of reply. IF THEY CHOSE - you see I beliueve in people having the right to make their own choices.

I am sure if you roll on your back Dima will tickle your tummy and ears for you..  .

 Dancers, dance  judges,  dance lovers,  even WDC and IDSF hold many valus in common and  share  sentiments. That's what holds us together and gives  reason to contribute here and not in some Auto-racing Forum .  I see  trends , similarity and differences.  I see  Polkdancer writer was very  active with 1132  writings till  March 2008  suddanly  replaced by awriter  a name  Berry with engines fired at max.

Unfortunately Polkadancer passed away. There is absolutely NO correlatation between Barry and Polkadancer, just maybe the sharing of some views.

Yes, there does appear to be a similarity in the NDCA press release, and that of the old CDF press release. Lots of names used as part of a political statement. Most were not consulted, or agree to their names being used in such a way.
