Far too  astute  ?

Is   Barry claiming  to be  clever;  cunning;  ingenious and  shrewd  ?

At least you have  a  sense of humour  .

It  is  a waste of time to argue  with a self proclaimed astute person.

Post Scrib:

I agree Dancinggirl, there is no point,  and no I'd rather see somebody else's name arguing the point.

Think of me

What is the point of your comments? There is nothing informative there. Are you so desperate to get your name on line you have to send these kinds of remarks?

Thank you for the reminder dancingrl    you are right ,   it is  really  not nice to be  personal,   it would be like  following in your footsteps.   Before you point a finger,  have you considered  cleaning  up your own act ?

Names are  unimportant,   if they were,  you would be signing  with a capital D, spelling it with care.

Have you not yourself an  opinion  about the press release,  or,  are you in the habit of criticizing  others, this time  for not being informative ?   Why not contribute your  " two cents worth" to this thread ?

There might be a purpose if these "top" couples were making a statement that unless there was an American adjudicators for the 2008 WDC World events they would not compete.  So far as the WDC is concerned the couples are free to choose they dance or they do not.

In the  current situation the impression gained is our "American Dancing Divas" feel they are suffering because there has not been an American Judge in the last year for 5 WDC World Championship.  It also looks like they meekly allow themselves to be "used" by the politicians.  Three words which come to my mind when I read the Press Release are misguided, petty, foolish.

Maybe the two who until very recently represented other countries would like a USA judge plus one from their home country.  Would that help them win?

I wonder why they do not  issue through their author the same complaint re Blackpool. No USA judge there. Are the organisers guilty of truly malevolent actions?

Barry,

When you stick to the agenda, you appear intelligent. However, when you begin directly INSULTING people, as you began this post and in "American Dancing Divas", you immediately begin to sound like an angry person with his own agenda. When children play, and are loosing, they can get very mean and insulting. It seems that you are reverting to that line of behavior. Perhaps people would take you more seriously if you remained respectful to others, and not simply used your tactics and agenda to belittle others. There are ways to make a point in a way that is respectful to everyone. Wherein I actually began to "hear you", I now completely do not take anything that you have to say seriously, since there is obviously some other agenda here.  If you are so anti-American, why are you constantly cruising American dancesport sites? This is where you claim you found the article, in your opening conversation piece.

When chidlren play,

I think you mean "WHEN CHILDREN PLAY" something in which you specialise.

What about making a reply relating to the Press Release that is the purpose of a mature  forum.

Sorry I regret I cannot take you seriously so no more response from me to you

dancingrl

I am sure that you like me are wondering just how many edits are going to be made to the message of 17th July to which you responded.  It now bears no relationship to the original posting.  You must have got something very right probably because you know "astute" means only "perceptive"

American Dancing Diva is not very respectful to refer to USA top professionals. These are nice , well liked people, hard working, and not stuck up never primadonas.  People write things they no nothing about for shock factors. USA dancers would never ignore Worlds because USA judge was absent, they do not need USA judge to be at top, the rest of 'not so friendly judges' will  still place them in the finals. At this point first place is taken for years to come, so the second place is fantastic, making finals is fantastic because there are just too many fantastic dancers now and thats great for all.

Sambatogo agrees that all the concerned dancers deserve the greatest respect. But we did not find the term "Dancing Divas" insulting in the context that it was used by Barry in his post. But That is just our oppinion.  As we have said before, the dancers themselves should have used their own names signed to the press release. And not let anyone else do it for them. If they indeed feel that way about WDC actions? Sambatogo suspects that these dancers were merely used as pawns in a political game. To which they were probably, and innocently unaware at the time of release? Wonder if any of them will reply to this matter, to clear up the situation?

SambatogoYou are of course absolutely correct.

If I wrote Maria Callas Greek Diva  or Anna Netrebeko Russian Diva or Jessye Norman American Diva no one would accuse me of disrespect nor of being anti Greek/Russian/American.  It only goes to prove how some will make up their own story and go to childish lengths to attempt to discredit another member who is too close to the facts for comfort.,

I am still trying to figure out how I can be anti American when a Lithuanian and an  Italian are involved.

If there is disrespect I feel that is against the providers of this excellent website and forum.  They do not operate censorship they do not present biased or inaccurate details. They do not deserve what is going on.

However I would say it is with great regret that I can never have the same respect as previously for the dancers named in the Press release by the Vice President of IPDSC.

These dancers either agreed to be used as ammunition in personal battles or else were unaware and now are afraid to set the record straight.

For me it is unforgivable that NDCA are content to see their dancers lose the respect they once held.

Barry,

 " ...Respect they once held"

Believe me when I say that these dancers by no means lost their respect (eventhough you are working very hard to try and dishonor them". As far as correcting my spelling error...when your Latvian will be as good as my English, we can discuss that further. You seem like an angry, and lonely person.  While you are working hard to discredit amazing dancers, I do not believe you will succeed. It is obvious that you have a very personal agenda here, to be so passionate about it. Karma is a great thing.

The dancers you are trying so hard to belittle are incredible people. I have been to many competitions they have attended, including this year's Blackpool. I know many of them quite well. I have NEVER heard any one of them insult or belittle another dancer. These are all incredible and hard working human  beings, who definetely do not deserve this trash talking by you, Barry. In a way, I feel sorry for you, that you are hurting so much by their success. I wish you luck and peace. I hope that you can find it in your heart to let your anger and jealousy go.
